BurCell Technologies converts Municipal Solid Waste into everyday products including renewable Natural Gas, renewable Biomass and Industrial Grade Biogenic CO2. This local solution greatly reduces the overall environmental impact of the trash we create by reducing the amount of trash sent to traditional landfills by over 75%. The process recycles everything which can be recycled including plastics and metals, with the balance of the organic material converted into renewable products. The conversion process of organics (food waste and paper/carboard) creates 2 main products, renewable natural gas and renewable Biomass. Renewable natural gas is created in our anaerobic digestors, which are 100% more efficient than traditional anaerobic digestors as a result of the BurCell process technology. The other organics, mainly cardboard and paper, are converted into a renewable biomass, similar to wood pellets. We can convert over 2X’s more trash to renewable products than the typical recycling centers.
The BurCell process eliminates the need for households to separate waste trash from recyclables, reduces over 50% of the truck and rail transportation traffic and emissions since there is no need for 2 trucks or 2 trash bins at each household. The local production of energy products further reduces transportation emissions to import energy products into our communities. With 1 plant currently in operation in the greater Atlanta area, a 2nd plant in Atlanta is scheduled to be in operation by the 4th quarter of 2026. And the growth does not stop there; additional plants are very close to FID with plans on bringing an additional 4 plants in 2026 and 2027 throughout the US. All these developments will solve immediate issues with the current method of waste management, produce local renewable energy sources, dramatically reduce the local carbon footprint and continue to improve the quality of life in the communities in which we live and operate.
